Collaboration
Sensei IQ is built natively inside your Microsoft 365 tenant, which means collaboration is a natural extension of the platform you already use every day. Every project, program, and portfolio in Sensei IQ can be linked to a dedicated Microsoft 365 (M365) Group, giving your teams a consistent, secure, and familiar place to work together across the entire project lifecycle.
SharePoint Document Storage
When a project manager links a project, program, or portfolio to an M365 Group, it gains access to a dedicated SharePoint document library scoped to that group — a central, governed location for all project-related files and artifacts such as plans, charters, meeting notes, and decision logs.
- Organized by project context — documents are stored within the SharePoint site associated with the project's M365 Group, keeping project artifacts neatly separated from other organizational content
- Full Microsoft 365 collaboration — team members can co-author documents in real time, manage version history, set permissions, and leverage the full power of SharePoint without leaving their familiar M365 environment
- Persistent and accessible — files remain available throughout the project lifecycle and beyond, supporting audit trails, lessons learned, and organizational knowledge retention
M365 Group Access & Membership
The M365 Group linked to a project, program, or portfolio serves as the access control boundary for that body of work. Membership in the group determines who can view and interact with the project and its associated artifacts.
- Centralized access management — adding or removing a member from the M365 Group automatically governs their access to the project's SharePoint documents, Teams channel, shared calendar, and related resources
- Consistent across levels — the same M365 Group model applies whether you are managing an individual project, a program of related projects, or an entire portfolio, giving your organization a uniform governance pattern at every level
- Aligned with Microsoft Entra ID — because Sensei IQ authenticates against your organization's Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), group membership is always in sync with your existing identity and access policies
Dedicated Microsoft Teams Channel
Each project, program, or portfolio can be linked to a dedicated Microsoft Teams channel, bringing chat, calendar, and collaboration into a single place for the project team.
- Project-scoped conversations — a dedicated channel keeps project discussions organized and searchable, separate from general team or departmental chats
- Shared calendar — the M365 Group calendar surfaces within Teams, giving the project team visibility into key dates, meetings, and milestones in context
- Available at every level — individual projects, programs, and portfolios can each have their own linked Teams channel, enabling structured collaboration at whatever level of the hierarchy matters most to your stakeholders
- Single source of communication — project managers and team members no longer need to switch between tools to find conversations, files, or meeting invites; everything lives within the project's Teams channel
Teams Channel Tabs & Embedded Power Apps
For licensed Sensei IQ users, Teams channel tabs take collaboration a step further by surfacing Power Apps data directly inside the Teams interface — no need to open the model-driven app separately.
- Embedded app experience — Sensei IQ leverages the Power Apps tab capability in Teams to pin project-relevant views (such as risks, issues, decisions, status updates, or key dates) directly as tabs within the project's Teams channel
- Act and edit in context — licensed team members can view, create, and update Sensei IQ records right within the Teams tab, staying in their flow of work without navigating to the full app
- Role-appropriate access — only licensed members of the project's M365 Group can interact with the embedded Power Apps tabs, ensuring data integrity and appropriate governance
- Reduces tool-switching — by surfacing structured PPM data inside Teams, Sensei IQ lowers the barrier to keeping project information current, improving data quality and team engagement
Linking a project, program, or portfolio to an M365 Group and Teams channel is configured within Sensei IQ by the project manager. Once linked, the SharePoint library, group membership, Teams channel, and channel tabs work together seamlessly as a unified collaboration hub for that body of work.
