IQ Central
IQ Central is the Sensei IQ workspace. Instead of navigating a fixed set of pages, each person works from a canvas of blocks — small, focused views that each answer one question for one role — and arranges that canvas the way they want it.
This article describes pre-release functionality and features. IQ Central and the blocks described below are not yet generally available, and details are subject to change before release. Talk to your Sensei contact about availability for your environment.
A workspace, not a screen
Three things are true of IQ Central at once.
- A library of blocks — each one a role-tuned mini-application that answers a single recurring question, rather than a page that shows everything about a subject
- A canvas each person arranges — it is not a fixed dashboard, and it is not a set of reports
- A memory — the product saves each person's arrangement and restores it next time. Nobody rebuilds their working view every morning
What makes something a block
Every block in Sensei IQ is scoped against the same four rules, and they are the reason the workspace stays legible as it grows.
- One user — someone with the role, the access, and the permission to act
- One question — a specific question that person asks repeatedly during their work
- One scope — a coherent slice of data that matches how they already think about it
- One set of verbs — what they can legitimately do, right there, right then
This is why the same record can appear in two different blocks. A change request is one kind of record, but the project manager who raises it and the portfolio manager who approves it are doing different jobs with different authority, so each gets a block built for their side of the exchange rather than sharing one screen that half-fits both.
It is also why a person who holds several roles does not switch between modes. They compose one canvas from the blocks their roles entitle them to, and work from it.
What your organization gets
Fifteen blocks make up the first release, grouped by who they are built for. All of them are pre-release; none is generally available yet.

Where you use it
IQ Central runs in two places, and it is the same workspace in both.
- Microsoft Teams — as a personal tab in the Sensei IQ Teams app
- The Sensei IQ app — as a page in the model-driven app
A person's arrangement is personal to them and follows them between the two.
On a phone (pre-release), the same workspace opens in the Sensei IQ app in Teams, one block at a time. It starts with a screen of signals that shows where the person is needed, and opens any block full screen with a tap. Nothing done on a phone changes the arrangement made on a larger screen.
IQ Central is not the only place blocks appear. The same block library also powers the workspace anchored to a single project, program, or portfolio record. IQ Central is the cross-cutting home; the anchored workspace is the record-centric view. Some blocks are built for one, some for the other, and some for both.
What you control
- Role groups — your administrator defines which blocks each role starts with, so a new user opens a workspace that already suits their job
- Security roles — what a person can be given is governed by their security role. A block never exposes a record or an action their role does not already permit, so the workspace cannot be used to route around Dataverse security
- Personal arrangement wins — once someone arranges their own canvas, that arrangement is theirs and is not overwritten by a later change to the role default
